Design Week said Imagination’s 18 per cent increase in fee income from the previous year showed “experiential design remains a great earner” alongside its digital design offering.

Imagination placed 16th overall in the most efficient agencies, with a fee income per head of £100,250 - up from £90,909 last year. “It is good to see Top 100 giant Imagination… showing that efficiency counts as much, if not more, than overall earnings,” DW editor Lynda Relph-Knight said.

Imagination also topped the UK staffing charts, with 400 staff, and recorded the fourth highest staff increase in the UK of 26%.

Douglas Broadley, Imagination Europe CEO and Global Creative Director, said: “Imagination stays on top by helping businesses create brand meaning and commercial relevancy in truly creative ways. It’s gratifying to see the team’s hard work recognised.”
