To offer visitors the opportunity to experience Ford’s cutting edge design and technology as well as engage with the UEFA Champions League Final, Imagination devised an interactive football game that offered a never-seen-before experience for participants. Imagination collaborated with Hawk-Eye Innovations to incorporate their ball tracking system, the most sophisticated officiating tool used in any sport. Together they created a high tech interactive penalty kicking game with social outreach. The game, named the Ford B-MAX Challenge, allowed members of the public to view real-time analysis of their penalty kick performance in a way normally reserved only for the world’s top athletes. Participants were then able to view and share their assets onsite via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and email. All video assets were hosted on the Ford branded YouTube channel so visitors could return to them either via the Ford B-MAX Challenge Microsite or YouTube.
The Ford B-MAX Challenge proved to be a popular attraction, drawing large crowds throughout the four day Festival.
“Imagination pushed the activation beyond the live experience by integrating social media and encouraging visitors to share their analysis videos on various social media channels. A tremendous amount of creative thinking, effort and unwavering professionalism was demonstrated by all those involved to deliver our best and most socially connected UEFA Champions League Final to date” said Mark Jones, Sponsorship Manager, Ford of Europe.
