NMK, the key information hub for companies and individuals working in the UK’s digital media industry, have overhauled their website. The new design demonstrates NMK’s commitment to the current social media landscape and usability centred design. “We needed to be seen to be practising what we preach,” said NMK publisher Ian Delaney. “The site needed to look modern and energetic, but also allow easy access to the wealth of useful articles we’ve built up over the last ten years”.
Designed by digital communications agency Imagination Ltd, NMK wanted to make their website a more engaging and intuitive experience for visitors whilst raising the profile of their revenue driving activities.
Building on their existing social media activities, NMK have now brought these platforms to the heart of their site experience with news and events being pushed across the internet through social networks and aggregator tools such as Facebook, YouTube & Flickr.
Imagination has also redeveloped the backend to deliver a bespoke CMS which allows users to enjoy a clearer experience of NMK’s extensive archive of material.
Ian Delaney said: “We thoroughly enjoyed working with Imagination. Despite tight budgets and tighter deadlines on our end, they were receptive to our aims for the site and managed to come up with ideas that exceeded our expectations. Their holistic approach meant that we didn’t just get a new coat of paint, but a transformation.”
