April 2008, London UK: Leading brand communications agency Imagination Ltd celebrated being award winners at last Friday's (4th April 2008) International Visual Communication Association (IVCA) 20th annual awards. Established in 1988, IVCA Awards are recognised internationally as marks of excellence for effective business communication in corporate video, live events, multimedia projects, business television and websites.

Imagination was awarded two of the coveted awards on the night which included the prestigious Gold award in the Best External Interactive Media category. The trophy was awarded for the company's groundbreaking project ‘Where Are the Joneses?' which was created for Ford and was the world's first open source branded interactive on-line sitcom. The project, which was co-produced with Steve Coogan's production company BabyCow, was highlighted by a number of judge's as "an integrated and innovative experience that engaged the audience on a number of different levels."

Imagination also scooped a silver award in the ‘Best Animation, Graphics and Special Effects' category for their work on another Ford project entitled ‘The Ford Sustainability Film'. The 5-minute animated film was created for the leading automotive brand to highlight the brands ongoing commitment to sustainability. The film was first launched at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor show.

"The IVCA awards set the benchmark for the communications industry and this is timely recognition of the pioneering work produced by Imagination's Digital Communications group. We're extremely lucky to work in partnership with our clients who understand the importance of innovative projects like ‘Where Are The Joneses?' and the ‘Ford Sustainability Film'. Both projects pushed creative and technology boundaries and were extremely challenging to create and so therefore we're very proud that our hard work has been recognised."
